Full sized dummy of the regular edition of the book. Accompanying is a letter from the manager of the trade department of MacMillan, to a bookshop in Dallas, Texas. The top of the letter, the fep, & the inside front cover are rust stained from an old staple (since removed). The book contains 16 plates (on 8 pages), with the balance blank paper. The dummy was intended to help obtain advance orders of the book. The letter is dated 10 Aug '37, 3 months before publication date. There is very slight soiling to the top of the front cover, and a 1 1/2x3" area of silverfish damage to the top outer corner of the back cover. Otherwise the book is extremely tight. The corners are not bumped.; Salesman's Dummy; 9x12 1/2"
