Modern Paradise: An Outline or Story of How Some Cultured People Will Probably Live, Work and Organize in the Near Future

By: Olerich, Professor Henry

Price: $142.50

Quantity: 1 available

Book Condition: Very Good with no dust jacket

108pp. Covers soiled, with remains of several pencil notations on the front. Actually pretty good condition for a very fragile book. Interior is "fine" or better, with b/w photographs. An example of Olerich's thinking: "No cradle of any kind should ever enter the home, nor should children ever be rocked or carried for soothing purposes." On the other hand, most of the section on Baby Mentality is an treatise on little Viola Olerich. For a crackpot, he actually had some very good ideas, and a surprising handle on what might actually happen with the telephone, electric lights, heat, etc. He was certainly a fan of machinery and any labor saving device.; 5x7"
