Printed without a title page. 201pp. Front the introduction: "The primary object of this book is to give, in a general way, information regarding the dystuffs most generally used for paper, which will aid in the selection and use of dyestuffs for various purposes." The majority of the book is samples of paper (usually 15 to a page) dyed various colors, with technical info on the facing page as to application, working properties, fastness, pH, uses, etc. The method of binding leaves stubs of paper inbetween the pages. There are NO pages missing or damaged. No date, but appears to be 30's, from the style. Interesting binding, with very nice quality cloth, then embossed paper applied of it, leaving the spine & corners in relief. Light wear to edges. ; 6x9"
