The Royal Victoria

By: Hodgson, Orlando (Pub.)

Price: $926.25

Quantity: 1 available

Containes 23 hand-colored plates ("chalk drawings"). Most are in good to very good condition, but one has been pasted to a backing paper. The edges are rough. It is a picture of "Her Majesty Queen Victoria..Opening Her First Parliament." The only date is in the caption for one picture, of the burning of the royal exchange, 10 Jan 1938. Some soiling and foxing to the pix. The magazines usually consist of one or two pages, with a print accompanying. There are 26 issues, but not all have prints (yes, three short). The last issue has been pasted to a piece of paper for support. The binding is embossed leather, with pieces missing from the spine, and wear on the edges & corners. Since I believe breakers are the scum of the earth, I will need a signed statement from the purchaser, that this book will not be cut up for the plates, nor resold for that purpose. ; 9x11"
