Naval Aircraft Factory Officers' Course: 1926
Philadelphia Naval Aircraft Factory- Navy Yard 1926 First Edition Card Covers Very Good+
I can't tell if the card covers are original to the book, but they appear to be. A couple of stamps, a barcode, and a bookplate inside the front cover are the extent of the xlib markings. There is a bit of rubbing to the edges of the card covers. The book is not paginated sequentially, but is just over 1/2" thick. Mimeographed on coarse paper. An organizational chart on blueprint paper (dated March 30th, 1926) is in a pocket in the back. Only a few pictures, but gives the new officer detailed information on the construction of dirigibles, biplanes, etc. At the facility. Down to how to sew and treat the fabrics used. This is pretty neat stuff. Not too much on engines, as the book mentions they are not produced at the facility, but it does discuss testing them. A very scarce & interesting bit of naval/aviation history. ; Ex-Library; 4to 11" - 13" tall

Includes 10 issues from the first two volumes, then a straight run from volume 3, no. 1 to vol. 7, no. 12. The first two volumes are 8 1/2x11, 4 pages, the rest are half that size, 6 to 10 pages. A very scarce bit of Northwest aviation history. First two volumes are punched for a three ring binder, the rest have gummed tabs applied, for the same purpose. Should be removeable if you wish, as they are water based, and a damp sponge will remove them. I've never seen another copy of this publication. The only xlib marks are a stamp or pencil notation in the upper right corner. ; Ex-Library; 8vo 8" - 9" tall

Rubbing and chipping to the spines & edges. Contents are very good. Volume 1, no. 1 has a small tear at the top of the last 3 pages. The last volume (vol. 2, no. 3) was evidently on the bottom of the stack on a garage or basement floor. The back is water damaged. Wrinkled, and the last 1/3 of the pages are stuck together. I discounted this volume in the price. The price is for all 4 issues. ; 4to 11" - 13" tall; ~110 each pages
