The binding is worn at the spine ends, and starting to split at the hinges. The contents are very fine. ; OK, this really is pretty cool. A bound volume of papers by grades school kids in Missouri, used in the Missouri display at the st. Louis World's Fair in 1904. Each is an actual paper, with the child's name & school at the top. Each has been gradedk with statements by the teachers in each section saying how long the kids had to do the work.. Includes the following schools & counties: Clinton: Plattsburg ; Cooper: Booneville; Dade: Lockwood, Fair View, Oak Field & Blue; Greene: Rountree, Bennett, Bell Victory, Ritter, Ash Grove, Springfield, Weaver, Campbell, Berry, Phelps, Waddill, & Bailey S. Bound in the original full leather. The topof the spine is chipped on one corner, and there is some rubbing at the corners. The leather is uncracked, and still very attractive. The lower label on the spine says "common school library", but there is no pocket, no numbers, and no stamps. There is a notice inside each of the covers saying the state donated to book to one of the counties.
